Candle Care
When you light your candle for the first time burn the candle 1 hour for every 2cm in diameter to establish a burn pool and to prevent future tunnelling. Tunnelling occurs when the candle burns straight down the middle and not evenly out to the edges. This could result in drowning of the wick. Subsequent burns should also be long enough to keep the size of the burn pool. Don't allow candles in glass or ceramic containers to burn closer than 1.5 cm from the bottom to avoid cracking the container.

Follow these precautions:

- do not leave lit candles unattended
- keep lit candles out of reach of children
- do not burn candles in a draught
- do not burn candles close to objects that may catch fire
- leave 10cm between lit candles.
