Details
Sanyu means Joy in Luganda and the name for this collection represents the joy that making bead necklaces, and earning a sustainable income, brings to the lives of Ugandan women. These beautiful beads are made by cutting recycled paper into thin strips and hand-rolling each strip into a bead which is coated with clear sealer to give it protection and a gloss finish. As the colour of the beads is derived from the colour of the recycled paper, the colours and textures of the beads will vary. Click on the producer's icon above to see more about this producer.
